Show Me WherePictures for clearer appointments

Free for patients and doctors

Don’t understand? Ask them to show me where.

Show Me Where gives your doctor a clear 3D picture to point at, so you can see what they mean, not just hear it.

The rectal cancer explorer: a 3D model of the rectum with the fatty envelope around it, the pelvic floor, sphincter muscles, bladder and prostate, each labelled.
The rectal cancer explorer, showing the rectum and the organs around it. Turn it, zoom in, cut it open.

A better picture than a biro sketch

Big conversations happen in short appointments. A quick drawing on the back of a leaflet is kind, but it rarely shows where something really is, how close it sits to other parts, or what an operation would take away.

1

Ask

If you don’t follow, say so. Ask your doctor or nurse to open showmewhere.org.uk on any computer, tablet or phone.

2

They set it up

In about a minute, they match the model to your scan: where it is, how big, how deep. You look at it together.

3

Take it home

They can save a picture sheet with the views you looked at, in plain words, to read again later or share with family.

“I’m not sure I understand. Could you show me where, on showmewhere.org.uk?”

It’s always fine to ask. Good doctors want you to understand.

What you can explore

We’re starting with rectal cancer and adding more areas of the body over time, wherever a picture makes the difference.

An illustration tool, not a medical device

Show Me Where is a simplified picture to help people talk. It doesn’t diagnose, measure or recommend treatment, and it doesn’t replace your scans or your team’s advice. Shapes and sizes are approximate.
